Visiting a church for the first time can sometimes be a very stressful event...mainly because there are some "unknowns". We have tried to answer in the list below some of the Frequently Asked Questions and hope they will make your first time at CrossPoint a great one!
Our Bible Study (called LifePoints for adults and Sunday School for preschoolers, children, youth) starts at 9:00 AM with age appropriate classes for all. There is a brief fellowship time for adults, complete with refreshments, in the Fellowship Hall. We finish by 10:15 AM, allowing time to move to the Worship Center for our 10:30 AM Worship Service. Greeters or class leaders are available to give directions or escort you to a class and to the Worship Center.
Newborns through kindergarteners have Sunday School during the 9:00 AM hour in the Preschool Building (see campus map). Teachers are approved and wear picture ID badges. The Preschool Director will welcome you, sign in your preschooler, give you a security card or a beeper, and answer any questions you might have. There is extended care for preschoolers during the worship service. You may return to the area, present your security card or beeper, and your preschooler will be released to you.
Children in grades one thru six meet in the Children's Department (Click here for campus map.). All teachers have been approved and wear picture ID Badges. The Children’s Director will greet you, answer any questions, and show your child to his/her room. They dismiss the children at 10:15 and will await your return to pick up your child before being released. During the morning Worship Service, Pastor has a time with the children called Pastor Bob's Buddies, which all enjoy.
4.) What is the worship service like?
Our services are a blend of hymns and praise choruses led with a Praise Team and small Praise Band. The services are upbeat, celebrative, and combine different elements of worship including drama, Bible preaching, Children's Time, Missions Moments, and giving. It is our pray that we always present an opportunity for all in attendance to have a meaningful worship experience. The service starts at 10:30 AM and usually lasts just over an hour.
Comfortably! People wear anything from shorts and jeans to dresses and suits! In the summer months, staff dresses casual...without ties! Come dressed as you wish!
Ordinary people! There will be children, students, college students, young marrieds, median adults, and senior adults. If you live in the area, you may see your neighbor or someone who attends school with your child. We are typical of our area and that is a pretty diverse mix!
If you enter either parking lot off of Southern Avenue, just come toward the courtyard area. There are folks at that location who will assist you with any directions and escort you to a class. If you come to the back (south) parking lot, just walk toward the buildings, particularly the Fellowship Hall. There will be folks in that area who are willing to assist in any way they can to get you to the right ministry area. If you are present during LifePoints/Bible Study at 9:00 AM, any class member will walk with you to the Worship Center and make sure you are situated for the worship service.

Yes! We are hopeful you will allow us the privilege of meeting you and answering any questions; but if you just want to come and "check us out", you are free to do so. If you would like to fill out a guest card, we have a "Connect Cart" located on the patio after worship service where you may pick up a small gift bag which we would like to give you. You will find information about CrossPoint included in the gift bag. We would love to thank you for coming and our pastor would love to have the opportunity to meet you; however, filling out the guest card is your choice!!
